Comparative Equality and Inferiority
We will study both comparison expressions when the quality is given in the same amount and when it occur less and we will do so because it is very simple.

If I say that John is as tall as Peter, I am doing a comparative equality.
And if I say that John and Peter are not as high as Thomas'm doing one of inferiority. In the denial of equal'm revealing inferiority.
Naturally there is a specific formula to express inferiority:
John and Peter are less tall than Thomas
Then we will see the English translation of the above explanation:
Equality
John is as tall as Peter
Lack of Equality (= Inferiority)
John and Peter are not so/as tall as Thomas
Inferiority
John and Peter are less tall than Thomas
Equality
Women are as strong as men
Men are as good cooks as women.
Women are as hardworking as men.
Inferiority
Spring is less cold than winter.
Lemons are less sweet than bananas.
A house is less big than a mansion.
